Tom Hall · Senior Full-Stack Engineer · Burleson, TX · Remote
I design, build & ship production software.
I help startups build AI-powered applications and production SaaS products. 10+ years shipping software used by healthcare providers, airlines, and high-growth startups — from first commit to platforms generating millions in annual revenue. I own the whole product: talk with founders, architect the system, build it, ship it.
Multi-tenant SaaS for medical practices — e-prescribing, patient assessments, payments, messaging, practice onboarding. Next.js, Node, PostgreSQL, AWS.

What I can build for you
Capabilities
AI & LLM products
Agent workflows, chat products, and LLM integrations that ship to real users — OpenAI, Claude, RAG pipelines, and the evaluation and guardrails to run them in production.
Full-stack applications
MVPs and mature products in Next.js, React, Angular, Node, and Ruby on Rails — production-ready from the first release, not a prototype you rebuild later.
SaaS architecture
Multi-tenant design, authentication, roles, and Stripe billing — the foundation work that decides whether a product scales or stalls.
APIs & integrations
REST services and third-party integrations — payments, e-prescribing, messaging, printers-in-kiosks — built to survive the messy edges of real systems.
Cloud & data
AWS, Vercel, PostgreSQL, Prisma, CI/CD, feature flags, and observability — infrastructure that keeps a revenue product fast and reliable.
Technical leadership
Fractional CTO work, architecture reviews, codebase rescues, and team leadership — I've managed fully-remote teams of 11 shipping high-revenue features.
More than tickets
How I work
STEP 01
Understand the business
I sit down with founders, ask the right questions early, and translate the business — clinical workflows, airline revenue, county elections — into product decisions.
STEP 02
Architect the system
Data models, auth, integrations, and infrastructure designed for where the product is going — not just the next sprint.
STEP 03
Ship & iterate
Clean, maintainable code other engineers can build on, delivered with tests, CI/CD, and observability — then iterated against real user feedback.

Have a product that needs to ship?
Whether you need a senior engineer to own a project end-to-end or to plug into your existing team, I can jump in quickly and deliver.
Founding Engineer · 2025 – Present · Serving medical practices across the U.S.
A modern, multi-tenant telehealth platform where I led engineering and product from the first commit — provider, patient, and internal operations applications, built and run by a small, high-impact team.
E-prescribing workflows — prescribers select patients and medications, set SIG directions, and route orders to pharmacies with drafts and review steps.
Patient assessments, treatment plans, messaging, and payments — the full clinical and business workflow for a practice in one product.
Practice onboarding and admin operations — multi-tenant architecture with per-practice roles across admin, provider, and patient surfaces.
Cloud infrastructure, APIs, authentication, and data models built for rapid growth and high availability.
Automated testing, CI/CD, feature flags, and observability — and scaled the business to $1M+ in monthly revenue.

I spent five years on Breeze's guest-facing booking platform — first as an engineer building the web and mobile apps, then managing the team that owned the airline's purchase journey: a team of up to 11 engineers, 2 QA, and 2 designers.
Delivered revenue features worth $10M+ in additional annual revenue — fares, seat selection, upsells, and checkout.
Built the booking experience across web (Angular) and mobile (Ionic), backed by a Rails microservice network.
Ran a fully-remote team — hiring, mentoring, code review, and agile process — while partnering with product and senior management on the roadmap.

Breeze Airways — Kiosk

Software Project Lead · 2021 – 2022 · Deployed in airport lobbies
A self-service checked-bag kiosk: an iPad app mounted in a kiosk enclosure, driving a Zebra thermal printer to print bag tags at the airport. Software meeting hardware, in a building where the network can't be trusted.
Led a team of 3 engineers from concept to physical deployment in airports.
Integrated the iPad app with Zebra bag-tag printers inside custom kiosk enclosures.
Designed for the real world — offline tolerance, hardware failures, and passengers in a hurry.

Software Project Lead · 2021 – 2022 · Running in operations centers
A real-time arrivals and departures board for internal operations — a live web app running on wall-mounted displays, giving ops teams one glanceable view of the airline's day. If this portfolio's design looks familiar, this project is why.
Real-time flight status aggregated into a single always-on display for operations teams.
Built to run unattended on big screens — legible from across a room, resilient to connection drops.
Delivered alongside the kiosk by the same 3-engineer team I led.

Electask
Acquired
Founder / Developer · 2017 – 2021 · Acquired by a private investor, Aug 2021
I founded, built, sold, and supported Electask end to end — an election task-management platform for county governments. Product, architecture, code, sales, and support: one person, then an exit.
An "E-date" system — every task planned backward from election day, with templates and archives so counties never start from scratch.
Multiple concurrent elections managed from one place, with tasks copied between them.
Signed 3 California counties, each on renewing 2-year contracts — "A tool we can't live without," per San Joaquin County's Registrar of Voters.
Acquired by a private investor in August 2021.
